Professional Applications

🚗 Automotive Workshops

Engine assembly, chassis fabrication, and panel drilling where electric tools pose spark risks in fuel-rich environments. Essential for MOT bays and bodyshop operations.

🔩 Metal Fabrication

Precision hole drilling in steel, aluminium, stainless steel, and exotic alloys with consistent torque delivery. Perfect for structural steelwork and custom fabrication projects.

🔧 Maintenance & Repair

Equipment servicing, bracket installation, and general workshop tasks requiring reliable, continuous-duty performance. Ideal for plant maintenance and facilities management.

🪵 Woodworking & Joinery

Furniture assembly, cabinetry, and precision joinery with controlled speed for clean, splinter-free holes. Variable speed prevents tear-out on delicate hardwoods.

✈️ Aerospace & Marine

Composite drilling where heat-sensitive materials demand cool-running tools and precise control. Carbon fiber, fiberglass, and advanced composites require zero heat buildup.

🏭 Industrial Maintenance

Plant maintenance, machinery repair, and production line servicing in demanding industrial environments. Continuous-duty rating for high-volume operations.

Why Pneumatic Over Electric?

01

Superior Power-to-Weight Ratio

At just 1.16 kg, this air drill delivers exceptional torque with minimal operator fatigue. Lighter than equivalent electric models while maintaining professional-grade drilling power throughout extended shifts.

02

Cooler, Safer Operation

Zero motor heat buildup enables continuous use without thermal shutdown. Ideal for heat-sensitive materials like composites, plastics, and thin-gauge metals where electric drills would cause warping or damage.

03

Intrinsically Safe Design

No electrical components means zero spark risk in volatile environments. Essential for automotive workshops, chemical plants, fuel-handling facilities, and ATEX-compliant operations.

04

Extended Service Life

Fewer moving parts and no carbon brushes to replace. Minimal maintenance requirements deliver lower total cost of ownership. Simple pneumatic motor design ensures decades of reliable service.

Operating Guidelines

  1. Air Supply Setup: Connect to a regulated compressed air line with minimum 3/8" (10mm) ID hose. Tool requires 4.28 CFM (121.4 L/min) air consumption at 90 PSI. Install an inline filter-regulator-lubricator (FRL) unit to ensure clean, dry, lubricated air supply for optimal performance and longevity.
  2. Chuck Loading Procedure: Rotate the keyless chuck collar counter-clockwise to open jaws. Insert drill bit shank fully into chuck (minimum 15mm insertion depth) and hand-tighten clockwise until secure. Verify bit is centered and locked before operation—no wobble should be present.
  3. Direction Selection: Set forward/reverse switch before triggering. Forward rotation (clockwise) for drilling operations, reverse (counter-clockwise) for screw extraction or backing out jammed bits. Never change direction while tool is running.
  4. Speed Control Technique: Squeeze trigger gradually for variable speed control up to 1,800 rpm. Partial trigger pressure for controlled starts and delicate materials, full trigger for maximum RPM in demanding applications. Let the tool do the work—excessive pressure reduces efficiency.
  5. Daily Maintenance: Add 2-3 drops of ISO VG 32 pneumatic tool oil into the 1/4" air inlet before each use. Drain moisture from air line regularly. Inspect chuck jaws and air fittings for wear. Store in a dry environment to prevent internal corrosion.

Compatible Accessories

This drill accepts all standard 3/8" (10mm) shank accessories, providing exceptional versatility across drilling and fastening applications:
