Operating Requirements

Air Compressor: Requires a compressor capable of delivering a minimum of 113 litres/min (4 CFM) at 6.3 bar (90 PSI). For optimal performance and tool longevity, we recommend a compressor with 25–50% additional capacity above the minimum CFM rating.

Air Line: Use a minimum 10mm (3/8") internal diameter air hose to minimise pressure drop. Maximum recommended hose length: 15 metres.

Air Preparation: Install an inline filter-regulator-lubricator (FRL) unit to ensure clean, regulated, and lubricated air supply. This is essential for maintaining tool performance and service life.

Safety Equipment: Always wear appropriate PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, dust mask or respirator, and protective gloves when operating this tool.

Why Choose Pneumatic Over Electric?

Pneumatic angle grinders offer distinct advantages in professional workshop environments where compressed air infrastructure is already in place:

  • Superior power-to-weight ratio – No heavy electric motor means less operator fatigue during extended use
  • Instant variable speed control – Adjust speed on-the-fly via air pressure regulation for different materials and applications
  • No overheating – Air-cooled operation prevents thermal shutdown, enabling continuous duty cycles
  • Intrinsically safe – No electrical components eliminates spark risk in flammable environments
  • Lower maintenance – Fewer moving parts and no brushes or armatures to replace
  • Exceptional durability – Simple mechanical design withstands harsh workshop conditions and accidental drops

For workshops already equipped with compressed air systems, pneumatic tools deliver unmatched reliability and performance per pound invested.

Maintenance & Care

Proper maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends tool life:

Daily

Add 3–5 drops of pneumatic tool oil into the air inlet before first use. Drain moisture from air line filter.

Weekly

Inspect air hose and fittings for wear or damage. Check spindle thread for debris and clean if necessary.

Monthly

Clean or replace air filter element. Inspect tool housing for cracks or damage. Verify spindle runs true without wobble.
