PRESTIGE PROFESSIONAL AIR TOOLS
150mm Pneumatic
Palm Sander
Six-inch orbital precision. Workshop-grade endurance.
Engineered for professionals who refuse to compromise on finish quality.
The Prestige 150mm Palm Sander is the tool that separates a competent finish from a flawless one. Air-driven, perfectly balanced, and built to run all day without complaint — it delivers consistent orbital action across wood, metal, and composite surfaces with the kind of control that only comes from considered engineering. Whether you're preparing bodywork, finishing cabinetry, or blending welds in a fabrication shop, this is the sander that earns its place on the bench.
PERFORMANCE & DESIGN
Built Around the Work
150mm Orbital Action
The 6-inch sanding pad delivers maximum surface coverage with a random orbital pattern that eliminates cross-grain scratches and swirl marks. Ideal for large flat panels and contoured surfaces alike.
Pneumatic Power Delivery
Air-driven motors produce consistent torque at every RPM without the thermal buildup of electric tools. Run it continuously through a full production shift — it won't overheat, and it won't slow down.
Ergonomic Palm Housing
The contoured grip sits naturally in the hand, distributing weight evenly to reduce operator fatigue. Rubberised contact zones absorb vibration and maintain positive control across extended sessions.
Trade-Grade Construction
Precision-machined internals and durable outer housing withstand the rigours of daily professional use. Standard BSP fittings and serviceable components mean long-term reliability without specialist maintenance.
Hook-and-Loop Pad System
Velcro-backed sanding discs attach and release in seconds. Switch grits mid-job without tools, without downtime. Compatible with all standard 150mm hook-and-loop abrasive discs.
Compact Workshop Footprint
Slim profile and balanced weight distribution make this sander easy to store, transport, and manoeuvre in tight spaces — from spray booths to site cabinets.

APPLICATIONS
Where It Works
Cabinet Making & Joinery
Achieve glass-smooth surfaces on doors, panels, and frames before staining, lacquering, or oiling. The orbital action prevents grain-raising and leaves a finish ready for the first coat.
Automotive Bodywork
Prepare filler, feather primer edges, and denib between coats with precision. The 150mm pad covers large body panels efficiently without creating flat spots or burn-through.
Furniture Restoration
Strip old lacquer, varnish, and paint from antique and modern furniture without damaging the substrate. Controlled orbital action preserves detail and profile edges.
Metal Fabrication
Deburr cut edges, blend weld seams, and prepare steel or aluminium surfaces for powder coating, painting, or anodising. Consistent finish across the full pad diameter.
Composite & GRP Work
Sand fibreglass, carbon fibre, and resin composites without loading the pad or generating excessive heat. Ideal for marine, aerospace, and motorsport applications.
Site & Maintenance
A versatile surface preparation tool for on-site maintenance, renovation, and repair work. Compact enough for confined spaces, powerful enough for production-rate output.
OPERATING GUIDE
Getting the Best Results
Air Supply Setup
Connect to a regulated compressed air supply with sufficient CFM capacity for continuous operation. Always use an inline Filter-Regulator-Lubricator (FRL) unit to deliver clean, moisture-free, lubricated air. This protects the motor and extends service life significantly.
Abrasive Selection
Match your grit to the task: 40–80 grit for rapid stock removal and shaping; 100–150 grit for intermediate smoothing; 180–240 grit for pre-finish preparation; 280–320 grit for final finishing before coating. Always progress through grits sequentially — skipping stages leaves sub-surface scratches that show through paint.
Sanding Technique
Let the tool's weight and orbital action do the work. Apply only light, consistent downward pressure — excessive force reduces orbital throw, increases heat, and causes uneven sanding. Move in slow, overlapping passes, keeping the pad flat against the surface at all times.
Dust Management
Connect to a workshop vacuum or dust extractor where possible. Effective dust extraction extends abrasive life, improves visibility, and maintains a cleaner working environment — particularly important when sanding primers, fillers, or treated timbers.
