Will this fitting work with polyurethane (PU) and nylon pneumatic tubing?

How do I release the tube from a push-fit pneumatic connector?
To release the tube, depressurise the system first, then press the collet ring (the outer collar) firmly towards the fitting body while simultaneously pulling the tube straight out. Do not twist the tube during removal.
Is PTFE tape required on the R1/2 male thread?
Yes. As an R (BSPT) taper thread, PTFE tape or thread sealant compound should be applied to the male thread before installation to ensure a pressure-tight seal. Typically 2–3 wraps of PTFE tape applied in the direction of the thread is sufficient for compressed air applications up to 16 bar.
