Installation Guidelines
- Select Appropriate Hose: Use vacuum-rated flexible hose with 6mm internal diameter. Ensure hose material is compatible with your process gases and vacuum level.
- Prepare Hose End: Cut hose squarely with a sharp blade. Ensure the cut is clean and free from debris or deformation.
- Fit Hose to Tailpiece: Push hose firmly onto the barbed tailpiece until it seats against the flange body. The barbs will grip the hose inner wall securely.
- Secure with Clamp: For critical applications or higher vacuum levels, reinforce the connection with a worm-drive hose clamp positioned over the barbed section.
- Connect to KF System: Install a KF-16 centering ring (with O-ring seal) between the adaptor flange and mating KF component. Secure with a KF clamp or wing-nut clamp assembly.
- Leak Check: Evacuate the system and verify vacuum integrity using a leak detector or pressure decay test before commissioning.
