Installation Guide
- Apply PTFE tape or thread sealant to the male BSP thread before installation to ensure a leak-free seal.
- Hand-tighten the gauge into the R 1/4 BSP port, then apply 1–1.5 additional turns with a spanner. Do not over-tighten — this can distort the case or damage threads.
- Position the dial face perpendicular to the line of sight for optimal readability. The gauge operates accurately in any orientation.
- Pressurise the system slowly and inspect the connection for leaks before returning to full operating pressure.
Compatibility
The R 1/4 BSP parallel thread is the standard connection on the majority of UK and European pneumatic regulators, manifolds, and FRL units. This gauge is a direct replacement or addition to most workshop compressor systems without modification. If your system uses an NPT (National Pipe Thread) port, a BSP-to-NPT adaptor will be required.
