Description
Pneumatic Fittings — Stem Reducers
12mm to 6mm Pneumatic Stem Reducer
Precision-machined brass • Push-fit 6mm outlet • 0–10 bar rated • NBR O-ring sealed
Overview
Seamless Diameter Reduction. Zero Compromise.
The 12mm to 6mm Stem Reducer bridges legacy stem-port equipment with modern 6mm push-fit tubing in a single, tool-free connection. Precision-machined from nickel-plated brass with an engineered NBR O-ring seal, it delivers leak-free performance across continuous-duty compressed air systems—from professional workshops to mobile service operations.
Key Features
Instant Push-Fit Connection
Insert 6mm OD tube and engage in one motion. No threading, no tape, no tools required at the tube end. Positive collet retention holds under full working pressure.
Precision Brass Body
Nickel-plated brass construction resists corrosion and withstands the mechanical stress of repeated connect/disconnect cycles in demanding environments.
NBR O-Ring Seal
Nitrile rubber sealing element maintains integrity across the full operating temperature range, eliminating micro-leaks that waste energy and reduce system efficiency.
Rated to 10 Bar / 145 PSI
Engineered for the pressures found in professional compressed air systems. Suitable for continuous-duty cycles without performance degradation.

Installation Guide
Five Steps to a Leak-Free Connection
- 01 Prepare the TubeCut 6mm polyurethane or nylon tube square using a sharp tube cutter or blade. The cut face must be clean and burr-free—any deformation will compromise the collet seal.
- 02 Insert FullyPush the tube firmly into the reducer body until it bottoms out. You will feel positive engagement as the collet grips the tube OD. A partial insertion will not seal.
- 03 Thread the StemApply PTFE tape to the 12mm male stem threads (3–4 wraps, overlapping by 50%). Thread the reducer onto the equipment port hand-tight, then advance 1–1.5 turns with a spanner.
- 04 Pressure TestGradually introduce air pressure. Inspect both connections with a soapy water solution or leak-detection spray. No bubbles confirms a sound seal.
- 05 Tube ReleaseTo disconnect, depressurise the line first. Press the collet ring inward while pulling the tube. Never force removal under live pressure.
