Installation Guide
- Prepare the Thread: Clean the male Rp 3/8 thread on your air hose or manifold. Remove any debris or old sealant.
- Apply Thread Seal: Wrap 3-4 turns of PTFE tape clockwise on the male thread, or apply liquid thread sealant suitable for compressed air.
- Hand Tighten: Thread the coupling onto the male fitting by hand until finger-tight. Ensure straight alignment to prevent cross-threading.
- Final Torque: Use a 19mm spanner to tighten 1-1.5 turns past hand-tight. Do not over-torque—brass fittings can crack under excessive force.
- Pressure Test: Pressurize the system to working pressure and check for leaks using soapy water. Re-tighten if necessary.
Maintenance & Care
- Weekly: Wipe external surfaces to remove dust and moisture. Check for air leaks around the connection.
- Monthly: Disconnect and inspect the internal valve for debris. Clean with compressed air if necessary.
- Quarterly: Apply a drop of pneumatic tool oil to the valve mechanism to maintain smooth operation.
- Annually: Replace if you notice reduced flow, air leaks, or difficulty connecting/disconnecting.
