Installation Best Practices
- Select Correct Size: Measure hose outer diameter; clip should span the middle third of its adjustment range for optimal clamping force
- Position the Clip: Slide clip over hose end before fitting to barb or spigot; position band 5–10mm from hose end
- Tighten Evenly: Use 7mm hex driver or flat-blade screwdriver; tighten in quarter-turn increments, checking hose alignment
- Torque Specification: Tighten until hose compresses slightly but does not bulge; typical torque 4–6 Nm (hand-tight plus ¼ turn)
- Inspect Regularly: Check for corrosion, band deformation, or loosening during routine maintenance intervals

Jubilee® clips are sized by their diameter range in millimetres. Size 12.5 fits hoses from 286mm to 318mm outer diameter. For best results, choose a clip size where your hose diameter falls in the middle of the range. Need a different size?
