Installation & Best Practice
- Select the Correct Size: Measure the outside diameter of your hose or pipe. The clip should overlap the range by at least 2 mm at each end for optimal grip.
- Position the Clip: Slide the clip over the hose end, ensuring the screw housing sits clear of any fittings or obstructions.
- Tighten Gradually: Use a flat-blade screwdriver or nut driver. Apply even torque—over-tightening can deform soft hoses or strip threads.
- Inspect Regularly: In high-vibration or thermal-cycling environments, check clip tension during routine maintenance intervals.
Materials & Standards
304 Stainless Steel (also known as 18/8 stainless) offers excellent resistance to atmospheric corrosion, mild acids, and alkaline solutions. It is non-magnetic in the annealed condition and can be polished to a bright finish.
Conforms to BS EN 10088-2. Suitable for use in food contact applications (subject to local regulations). Not recommended for continuous immersion in chlorinated water or high-salinity marine environments—consider 316 stainless steel for those conditions.
