Steel Reducing Bush Adapter
R 3/8" BSP Male × Rp 1/4" BSP Female
Where precision engineering meets workshop reliability. This heavy-duty steel reducing bush delivers a secure, leak-resistant BSP connection between differing thread sizes — built for professionals who demand performance without compromise.
Overview
Engineered for Dependable Reducing Connections
The Steel Reducing Bush Adapter is precision-engineered to bridge components with differing BSP thread sizes across pneumatic, compressed air, hydraulic, and general fluid systems. Featuring an R 3/8" BSP male thread and an Rp 1/4" BSP female thread, it provides a robust, vibration-resistant reducing connection trusted in workshops and industrial environments throughout the UK.
Precision Threads
Machined to BSP tolerances for a consistent, reliable fit every time — no guesswork, no rework.
Hex Body Design
Full hexagonal body allows fast, secure installation and removal with a standard spanner.
Heavy-Duty Steel
High-strength steel construction resists everyday wear, pressure, and mechanical stress.
Leak-Resistant Seal
Precision thread engagement minimises leak paths when correctly installed with appropriate thread sealant.

Installation Guide
Four Steps to a Secure Connection
Verify thread compatibility. Confirm both mating components use BSP (British Standard Pipe) parallel threads. Check port markings or use a thread gauge if unsure.
Clean the threads. Remove any debris, old sealant, or corrosion from both male and female threads before assembly.
Apply thread sealant. Wrap PTFE tape clockwise (2–3 turns) around the R 3/8" male thread, or use a suitable liquid thread sealant for higher-pressure applications.
Tighten with a spanner. Hand-tighten first, then use a spanner on the hex body to achieve a firm, leak-free joint. Do not overtighten — this can damage threads or cause stress cracking.
