Engineered for Reliability

  • Tool-free push-fit connection — 8mm tube inserts and locks in a single motion; release collar for instant removal without damage to the tube.
  • Nickel-plated brass construction — superior corrosion resistance versus standard brass, maintaining integrity in humid workshop and outdoor environments.
  • BSP parallel thread (BSPP) — the UK and European industry standard; compatible with the vast majority of compressors, manifolds, and pneumatic valves.
  • 10 bar pressure rating — comfortably exceeds the output of most workshop compressors (typically 6–8 bar), providing a safe operational margin.
  • Panel-mount stud design — hex body allows bulkhead installation through enclosure walls, control panels, and machine frames for a clean, professional finish.
  • Wide temperature tolerance — rated from −20°C to +80°C, suitable for cold-store environments through to heated industrial settings.

Typical Applications

🔧

Workshop Air Lines

Panel-mount drops and distribution manifolds in garages, fabrication shops, and spray booths.

⚙️

Industrial Automation

Cylinder feeds, valve banks, and pneumatic control circuits in manufacturing environments.

🚒

Mobile Service Vehicles

Bulkhead connections on service vans, mobile compressor units, and tyre-fitting rigs.

🏭

OEM Equipment

Original equipment builds requiring a compact, reliable BSP-to-tube interface.

🛠️

Pneumatic Control Systems

Instrument air, pilot lines, and sensing circuits where leak-free performance is critical.

🔩

Maintenance & Repair

Direct replacement for worn or damaged stud couplings across a wide range of existing installations.

Fitting in Four Steps

  1. Prepare the port: Ensure the R 1/4" BSP female port is clean and free of debris. Apply PTFE thread tape (2–3 wraps) to the male thread for a pressure-tight seal.
  2. Thread the stud: Hand-tighten the fitting into the port, then use a spanner on the hex body to torque to approximately 15–20 Nm. Do not overtighten.
  3. Insert the tube: Cut the 8mm OD polyurethane or nylon tube cleanly and squarely. Push firmly into the collet until it seats fully — you will feel a positive click.
  4. Pressure test: Pressurise the system and check for leaks using soapy water or a leak-detection spray before returning to service.

System Compatibility

This fitting is compatible with the following tube materials and systems:

  • Polyurethane (PU) tube — 8mm OD
  • Nylon (PA) tube — 8mm OD
  • Polyethylene (PE) tube — 8mm OD
  • Compressed air systems up to 10 bar
  • Inert gas and vacuum applications (consult application requirements)
