Installation Guide
- Thread Preparation: Apply 2–3 wraps of PTFE tape or a suitable thread sealant to the R1/4 BSP male thread.
- Thread Engagement: Hand-tighten into the female BSP port, then wrench-tighten a further 1.5–2 turns to achieve a pressure-tight seal. Do not overtighten.
- Tube Preparation: Cut 8mm OD tube cleanly and squarely using a tube cutter. Deburr the cut end.
- Push-Fit Connection: Push the tube firmly and squarely into the fitting until resistance is felt — the internal grip ring automatically engages and locks the tube.
- Verification: Tug the tube gently to confirm the lock is engaged. Pressurise the system and check for leaks at both connections.
- Tube Release: To disconnect, depress the collet release ring and withdraw the tube.
Compatible tube materials: 8mm OD Polyurethane (PU), Nylon (PA12), and Polyethylene (PE) pneumatic tubing. Ensure tube OD is within ±0.1mm tolerance for reliable grip-ring engagement.
