- Prepare the thread: Apply PTFE tape or thread sealant to the R 1/4 male thread (3-4 wraps clockwise)
- Thread installation: Hand-tighten into the female port, then use a spanner to secure (typically 1-1.5 turns past hand-tight)
- Tube preparation: Cut 4mm polyurethane or nylon tube square using a sharp blade—ensure clean, burr-free edge
- Push-fit connection: Push tube firmly into the coupling until it bottoms out (you'll feel resistance)
