Installation Guidelines
- Thread Preparation: Ensure the Rp 3/8 female port is clean and free from debris or old sealant
- Hand Tighten: Thread the coupling body clockwise until hand-tight resistance is felt
- Final Torque: Use a spanner on the hex flats to tighten 1–1.5 turns beyond hand-tight (do not over-torque)
- Pressure Test: Pressurize the system gradually and check for leaks using soapy water solution
- Operational Check: Connect and disconnect a male plug several times to verify smooth operation
Maintenance & Care
Regular inspection of the internal valve and O-ring seal ensures long-term reliability. Clean the coupling exterior with a lint-free cloth and compressed air to remove workshop dust. If air leakage occurs when connected, inspect the male plug seal and replace if worn. Store unused couplings with protective caps to prevent contamination of the valve mechanism.
